“When I paint or draw, I forget all about time and where I am – I’m completely absorbed in my thoughts for hours on end. It’s like I’m dreaming.”  

When I paint abstract material, my feelings take over. The brush strokes are an expression of my feelings, as well as creating the material. My artistic process involves playing with colours and motives. I think in feelings; sometimes I let my thoughts flow freely, while other times, I have a very clear picture of what I want. My work is characterized by a combination of the abstract and realism, and I aim for a raw, imperfect expression in my art.

I so enjoy the process of discovery and learning and the ability to combine the creative, artistic drawing and painting processes with the design process. I’m fascinated by the way in which fashion designers such as Coco Chanel and Elsa Schiaparelli were inspired deeply by their close relationship with artists like Picasso and Salvador Dalí. Soon, you’ll be able to see my first design projects on this site, as I continue to delve into my design explorations.
